A former Titusville physical education teacher accused of statutory rape of a teenaged boy waived all charges to court on Tuesday.

Rochelle Lee Cressman, 32, waived her rights to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols, of Titusville. Cressman allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy from Sept. 13, 2018, to April 18.

During the course of this period, Cressman and the victim allegedly had sex at least 10 times, according to police. It is also alleged that the two had other forms of sexual contact, including oral sex and inappropriate touching.

Cressman also allegedly threatened to harm herself or the victim on more than one occasion if he told anyone about the relationship.

These incidents reportedly took place at multiple locations in the Titusville area.

Police were alerted to the incidents after being informed by the victim’s mother when she was told by her son. Cressman was charged on May 8 by Corry-based State Police.

Cressman previously worked as a physical education teacher at Titusville Middle School, and before that at the high school. Superintendent Karen Jez told The Herald in a May 10 article that Cressman had not performed any duties within the district since April 12. Cressman later resigned from the district on May 20, following approval by the Titusville Area School Board.

Cressman is facing 10 counts of statutory sexual assault, all felony 1 charges with a maximum possible sentence of 20 years imprisonment and fines of $25,000 each; 10 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16 years of age, also felony 1 charges; one count of unlawful contact with a minor, another felony 1 charge; one count of endangering the welfare of children, a felony 3 offense with a maximum possible sentence of seven years imprisonment and a fine of $15,000; one count of corruption of minors, another felony 3 charge; one count of terroristic threats, a misdemeanor 1 charge with a maximum possible sentence of five years imprisonment and a fine of $10,000; and 42 counts of indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age, misdemeanor 2 charges which each carry a maximum possible sentence of two years imprisonment and a fine of $5,000.

If convicted of all charges, Cressman faces a combined maximum possible sentence of 523 years imprisonment and fines totaling $775,000.

Cressman is currently out on bail bond of $75,000. She was confined to Crawford County Correctional Facility from May 8 to May 13.
