The Titusville Middle School wrestling team competed in the Area 6 Tournament, Sunday, at Mercer High School.

The top three placers from each weight class advanced to the Junior High State Tournament, being held at Johnstown High School, this Saturday and Sunday.

“It was a tough tournament,” said Rockets head coach Bryan Baldwin.

Despite the rough competition, Titusville was able to place five grapplers, and advance four into the state brackets.

Zach Rodgers (87), Jesse Titus (132) and Gage Sutton (252) all took second place, and Seth Donovan, who wrestles at 82 pounds, took third place, moving all to Johnstown.

Jarrod Rodgers (112) placed fourth, just one spot short of making the cut.
