SAEGERTOWN — Maplewood had its sights set on the school records books from the beginning of the season. The Tigers knew the current drought the program has experienced in relation to region titles and playoff victories, among notable statistics.

It was a cold and rainy time on Wednesday as the Titusville Rockets boys soccer team took on the Harbor Creek Huskies. However, despite a mix of miserable weather and a major loss of 11-2, coach Rich Whalen is feeling pretty happy with the game.

Tigers beat Bears, 34-8, to take control of Region 2

GUYS MILLS — Friday’s Region 2 matchup between the Union City Bears and the Maplewood Tigers was a battle for control of the region standings — with the winner setting themselves up for a clear path to the region championship. And for three nearly quarters, both clubs played a pretty even contest.

Tigers get revenge against Raiders, 25-14

GUYS MILLS — The Maplewood Tigers football team had Sept. 20, 2019 marked on its calendar ever since the season’s schedule had been announced. After suffering a first-round playoff loss to the Reynolds Raiders a year ago in a game that featured a handful of ejections, the Tigers were out for revenge on Friday night in front of their home crowd.
